Characterizing and Modeling Methods for mechanics in Nano- and Micro-scales

Lion

Exactly measuring and characterizing the mechanical behavior of solid materials, structures and objects at nano/micro-meter scales are not only a key to engineering applications, but also the foundation of nanotechnology. Many fundamental mechanical and physical problems at nano/micro-scales reach the limit of effective experimental measurement and molecular simulations. In this direction, we are focusing on developing new effective experiment methods and technologies to measure mechanical properties of materials and structures at micro/nano-scales. We are also developing efficient multi-scale methods for simulations of micro/nano materials.
